Q1. How to register for the 1st Taipei International Choral Competition?
A1. Please follow the steps below to register for the competition.
Please fill in Online Registration Form and send Credit Card Payment Authorization(pay full payment of registration fee), Biography and Photo of the choir, and Biography and Photo of the conductor via email. You will receive the confirmation email after we confirm the information you given is all correct.
Email subject: Sign up for the Taipei International Choir Competition-(Category)(Name of the Choir)
Please send the repertoire list before Apr 30, 2019.
TICC committee will confirm the repertoire and send confirmation letter. Please email back the confirmation letter with conductor’s signature. Submit 7 copies of original music scores by express mail service.
TICC committee will send survey letter. Please email back the survey letter with conductor’s signature before May 31, 2019.
Please send the Participant name list before May 31, 2019. Please fill in the detail information of the list of each participants' names.
TICC committee will send final confirmation including competition schedule at the end of June, 2019.
Q2. How to make the payment?
A2. Only Credit Card payment is acceptable for International groups
Please download and fill in the credit card payment authorization form at Registration Information and email to email@example.com with the application form. Online credit card payment is not available.
Q3. Should we pay both Group Fee and Individual Fee?
A3. Registration fee is the gross amount of Group Fee and Individual Fee.
The individual fee qualifies the person to participate in the competition and enter the competition venue.
Example 1: A 30-person choir (1 conductor, 1 musician, 26 singers, 2 accompanying person) registering 2 categories will need to pay the following fee before 31 January:
(Group fee: $15,000 for Two category) + (Individual fee: $1,200 per person for 30 persons) = $51,000
Example 2: Conductor A is conducting Choir B (20 person) and Choir C (30 person). 5 singers are singing in both Choir B and Choir C. Choir B should pay individual fee for 21 persons(1 conductor A, 20 singers), and Choir C should pay individual fee for 31 persons(1 conductor A, 30 singers). Both Choir B and Choir C need to pay the individual fee for Conductor A and the 5 singers.
The individual fee qualifies the person to participate in the competition. In addition, the individual will receive a Competition Pass, a Competition Program Book, a T-shirt, and a Tote Bag.
Q4. Is there any discount of the registration fee?
Early Bird: Each choir receives TWD 6,000 discount on group fee for one category, TWD 15,000 for two category,TWD 25,000 for three category if register before Jan 31, 2019.
Q5. What comes after completing the payment?
A5. TICC committee will send registration confirmation letter with the information of your
choir after the registration payment is done. Detail schedule and performance location of each category will be informed at the end of June 2019.
Conductor、Musician、Singers、Accompanying Person need to pay the Individual Fee. The individual fee qualifies the person to participate in the competition and enter the competition venue.
Not pay Individual Fee. Please buy Category Competition Day pass. Only can enter the competition venue.

Q7. When is the deadline of the registration?
A7. Registration deadline: Mar. 15, 2019
Q8. Where is the competition location?
A8. The Grand Prix will take place in the National Concert Hall, Taipei. Category competitions will take place in Soochow University Song-Yi Hall, Taipei.
Q9. Should 7 copies of the Compulsory Works be included while submitting the scores to the committee?
Q10. Will the choir get the scores back?
A10. 6 copies of the song will be given back after the competition, and one copy will be kept in TICC committee. Scores not taken back by the choir will not be returned.
◎ If cancellation is made before 15th March 2019 20% of the total cost will apply.
◎ If cancellation is made before 31st May 2019, 50% of the total cost will apply.
◎ If cancellation is made after 1st June 2019, there will be no refund.
